More Gardens at the West Bawden Resort

Cute couple huh? We are at the old train train station in French Lick
I know...it aint a fire truck. But it will due for now.

This is one of the regulars who try to catch a ride for free.

French Lick

Golfing at the resort in French Lick. It is a PGA course.
They had our name on our cart....how special!

Having way too much fun!

Hey...I even made a par on this hole!!
Notice the faces on the top of this building. As you go around his face gets happier and happier 'cuz he's drinking from the healing waters of the springs. This building is one of the four structures that covered the springs that used to be on the property at the Bawden Resort.Posted by Picasa

French Lick

This week end we went to French Lick, Indiana. We took the scenic route and ran into our first covered bridge. I think it is the longest one in the USA.

This is going in......

This is the other side.....

This is the interior of the West Bawden Hotel at French Lick. It's dome is the third largest in the world, if I remember right.

Golfing at Eagle Pointe

It's a hard life living on the 18th fairway..... here is David sneeking out to play a hole or two....shhhh
I know.....I know.....I've never seen a cementary in the middle of a golf course either. Here in Hoosier country, things are done a little different. I wouldn't want to move my folks either. After all, they were here first. hehe
Crazy huh?

Typical drive into Bloomington

If I had a barn, it would look like this one. The people that live here own 45 acres. You can see the hay bailed in the back ground. As we started taking these photos the husband and wife came by. They told us we could take these photos and even pick some corn and vegetables from their garden.......Hoosiers are awesome mom!!!
They said we could pick some........ Actually this is the fire dept. closest to me. It kills me to hear the sirens go off and I can't jump on the truck.....hum it is a volunteer dept..............
This sign is at the fire house. There is no way I'm gonna miss this excitement. I may have missed my fire dept. breakfast.......but believe me, I won't be missing the firefighters hog roast. Maybe I'll even help out. You never know. haha

Typical drive into Bloomington

We spent the day just walking around Bloomington going into all the shops and having a bite to eat.
The Bloomington Capital
One of my favorite barns we see going into town. It is not far from our house, and very close to the Bloomington Fire Dept.
David trying to be funny!
